MNF

Monday night football. I am not a football fan. It's not that I don't like it, it's just that I have never gotten into it. My family is purely a baseball family. Hence my deep dedication to the Yankees. This is not the case for Chancho. He is a Jets fan. So here I am stuck with the Jets game on. I was trying to be patient and watched the 1st and 2nd quarter of the game, but I can't handle it any longer. I don't know all of the terms that are used and am just confused half of the time. I thought for a moment that I would learn it, Chancho did say that he would be happy to teach me and answer any questions that I have, but I can't get into it. I'm convinced it will always be this way.

Chancho has a daytour on Thursday this week. That will be nice to have a day to see him. However, it is not on Friday when the first game of the ALCS starts. He's a tad upset about that. I am hoping that he will get a daytour for Saturday because I am going out with coworkers to a gay bar in Connecticut and I want Chancho to come out with us. It probably won't happen if his older partner is driving. He's still figuring out how to get him to do work. He just doesn't seem to have the motivation to do anything except visit his girlfriend. I think they should take that time to come visit me, if they aren't going to do any work. Not that I'm condoning them not doing any work. Just want it to be fair all the way around.

For myself, this week, it should be rather light. We're gearing up for Gift Wrap Wonderland (GWW). This entails us transforming the center of the store so that it can fit all of the gift wrap and red and green colored items for Christmas. The following week is going to be very hectic for me. I have 3 overnights, going in at 8pm and getting out at 5am. It will be a full work week after that. I shouldn't worry about being bored. I'm excited for this to start. It should be a lot of fun and I love getting out of the habit of everyday routines in the store, this will mix it up a bit. Plus it is Christmas stuff, my favorite!

Quote of the Day: You can tell a lot about a person by the way he handles four things: a rainy day, the elderly, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights.

  1. Would he actually go to a gay bar with you?

Oh, and I can't stand watching football either. I've been to a few games in person and it still bores me. I do think that it's fun to watch the crowd though and get into that stuff like the wave. . . :)

  2. Oh yes he thinks that a gay bar would be a lot of fun. He's never been and wants to add it to his list of things he's did. I'm curious to see how he would act there. I'm thinking it would be a blast.
